Getting excited about the CLT Boomer Expo? So are we. But first, let’s get some important details out of the way:
Date: Oct. 7, 2017
Time: The Expo opens at 10 a.m., closes at 4 p.m. But Olde Mecklenburg Brewery will keep on trucking until 11 p.m.!
Where is Olde Mecklenburg Brewery: 4150 Yancey Road, nestled right between I-77 and South Boulevard, with nearby cross streets of Woodlawn and Scaleybark.
Parking: There are several options: Directly behind the brewery, two blocks down on Yancey or over at the Scaleybark light rail stop, where you can catch a shuttle for the 800-yard ride to the brewery.
Light rail: OMB is just a five-minute walk from the Scaleybark light rail stop. Just walk south from Scaleybark stop and take a right on Old Pineville Road. Continue to Yancey Road and take a right. We’re just down on the right side at 4150 Yancey Road.
Cost: Free! (But not the beer, wine or food)
What’s up with the beer/wine/food?: OMB has a great lineup of craft beers, as well as wine and non-alcoholic drinks. You’ll even be able to grab lunch or dinner here, with a menu that ranges from German specialities to pizza and burgers. (Pro tip: Try the soft German pretzel and Copper beer cheese)
Can I bring my kids/grandkids/dog/grand dog?: Yes/yes/yes/yes. BUT, all dogs must be on leashes and must remain outside in the Biergarten.
Why do I need to register?: We want to send you updates on all the cool things we’re planning for the day!
